Umno Discussion On Rejuvenation
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 21 (Bernama) -- Plans for Umno's rejuvenation were discussed at length during a three-hour Umno Supreme Council brainstorming Monday, said party vice-president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
"The Supreme Council discussed plans to rehabilitate the party, initiatives taken to improve Umno's image and several proposals made by the secretariat formed after we had a retreat at Glenmarie, Shah Alam on June 5" said Muhyiddin.
The meeting discussed further the findings made by the secretariat on the overall need to revamp the internal mechanisms and strategies of the party.
The brainstorming was also attended by Umno president Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and deputy president Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak.
